VOLUNTEER
Wet Noses Animal Rescue is a foster carer based, no kill rescue that commenced operating in September 2014 in Mount Gambier, South Australia. We are a member of the national organisation Pet Rescue, and are also Petstock Mount Gambier's partner rescue group.
We are an entirely volunteer rescue that receives no funding other than adoption fees and what we can raise ourselves. However in the time we have been running we have taken in close to 500 homeless animals, mostly cats and kittens, but also some dogs and a few rabbits. Most of them have now gone to loving families. The number is increasing each year, we have already rehomed 100 animals so far in 2018.
Our passion as a group is to rescue those that are completely homeless- the kittens and cats found living on the streets, in someone's shed or backyard. We take them in, undertake any necessary vet work, and work on their socialisation so that they can be adopted into loving homes.
All of our animals are desexed, microchipped and have at least their first vaccination before being rehomed.
